Assessment:

Journal. weighting 50 %: Your journal will be marked every lesson and has a weighting of five percent per week. Every lesson will have a directive that prompts you on what you will need to write in your journal. Your task is to log on to your Google Doc and follow these prompts. It is very important for you to take this task seriously as it equates to half your marks and will help you remember what you have been taught. Your reflections will also help you start to understand the most complex part of this program; to create in you a critical viewer that can not only understand the message behind commercials but also the social commentary that can be garnered from its depths.

Commercial. Weighting: 25% This is the final goal. Your production should show evidence of using the knowledge learned in the program. The commercial must be original and authentic. Conveying to the prospective viewer a message but also providing a commentary on society. Strong use of symbols and a variety of camera techniques will gain you a better mark. Create your dream Mise-en-scene.

Group participation. Weighting: 5%: Students will submit a review of their group members; commenting on their contributions and teamwork.

Final Report 1000 word: Weighting 20%. This is an individual take home assignement. You will write it after your film is viewed by your peer and me. Commenting on
