Curriculum
The curriculum guideline outcome one emphasises the need to understand how media communicates ideas. Lessons 1- 5 concentrates primarily on engaging with media products on a critical level. Questioning motives and ideals inherent in today’s media in order to further understand them and then implement that understanding into your own projects.
In relation to outcome two the whole lesson plan is designed to create the students own media production concentrating on audience perception. In order for the students to accomplish this they will have to fulfil a range of production roles and responsibilities.Throughout the lesson program students will be critically deconstructing a variety of media products. This will align with outcome three responses to media. In particular concentrating on how meaning is constructed. These three outcome addressed correspond with my course content that concentrates on the practical application of narrative codes and conventions in creating their own films. Representation and audiences are an intrinsic part of the course as they help students to create a more authentic product due to the nature of the film they are creating. The next page will give a week by week break down including curriculum syllabus links.
